Brian Mitchell

Director

Brian Mitchell serves as the Director of the Office of Science, Innovation and Technology (OSIT), the State of Nevada's Broadband Office, and oversees the planning, mapping and procurement of broadband infrastructure. Brian leads the State's High Speed Nevada Initiative, a $1 billion program to achieve the goal of universal access to affordable, reliable, scalable broadband. 

Dorian Mastros

GME Program Director

Dorian Mastros is the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Director for the Governor's Office of Science, Innovation and Technology. In this role, his focus is to actualize the Governor's vision to increase the pipeline of highly educated and trained medical practitioners in under-served sectors within the state. Dorian previously served a distinguished career in United States Air Force in many roles most notably as a Career Field Manager establishing and overseeing the education and training requirements for over 30,000 Airmen. After retiring from the 23-year military career, he continued to serve the federal government as a Senior Strategic Consultant to the Department of Defense and Intelligence community over the past 10 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and is currently finishing up a Master of Business Administration and Management. Dorian lives in the Las Vegas area and enjoys partaking in the multitude of leisure and entertainment venues throughout the state.  

Tracey Howard

STEM Program Director

Tracey Howard is the STEM Program Manager for the Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation and Technology. In this role, she works with teachers and administrators to implement best practices in STEM classroom instruction as well as with schools seeking to receive the Governor’s STEM School designation. She also manages OSIT’s grants and funding opportunities. Tracey previously worked as an elementary teacher and as a STEM Instructional Specialist with a focus on Project-Based Learning. She holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in STEM Education, the latter of which she earned as part of the Lemelson Cohort IV at the University of Nevada, Reno. Through all of her work with Nevada’s teachers and students, she is driven by her passion to increase access to STEM for all of Nevada’s students. Tracey lives in the Tahoe area and in her down time, she enjoys exploring what the Sierra has to offer!

Lis Dziminski

STEM Program Manager

Lis Dziminski serves as the STEM Program Manager at the Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation and Technology. She manages initiatives spanning PK-12 and post-secondary STEM education, aimed at enhancing educational outcomes for Nevada students and meeting Nevada’s workforce needs. With a background in education, Lis has served as a classroom teacher, gifted specialist, instructional coach, STEM strategist, and adjunct professor prior to joining OSIT. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Master of Education in Advanced Teaching and Leadership with a specialization in Gifted Studies from Sierra Nevada College. Proud of her Nevadan roots, Lis enjoys traveling and exploring the state's diverse landscapes.
